I hate subject headers... [Jun. 26th, 2010|01:17 am]
So, I've been using "tumblr" for the Pie Show! for 2 months now, and I must say, I like the format; It's convenient for daily comics and it's pretty easy to use. It also has a bunch of fun communities and whatnot that I enjoy following. That being said, I've been contemplating switching the "blog" part of thePS over to it. It would still have the usual posts and whatnot (much like this one, for example), but it would also be REALLY easy to put up links and whatnot (videos, etc. that I put up from time to time - I'd probably actually put up more, but I'm too lazy to copy the code usually - so potentially more of that stuff. LONG BRACKET!). My only problem with that is this: are the only people that read thePS those that follow it on LJ? That would mean losing those people, as most of you are not on Tumblr. However, I COULD also link it on the Facebook, as most of you ARE on that. Thoughts?

In other news, we ("we" being One-Finger Moustache - myself, Brent and Michael) did an improv show for RHS's Safe-Grad. It was really fun. Our first improv - or get together for that matter - in about 10 months. What this meant was we had NO idea how the show would go. It was the first time in a long time I was nervous about improv. This made it all the more fun. Every once in a while, I miss Improv U, but it's shows like that - just the occasional "do whatever we want, no real structure" show - that make me realize it was a good decision. Woo.

And, in other news (again, most of you know this as most of you are on my Facebook, but for those who aren't...) I'm engaged. To be married. To Erin. Gillis. Yes. Smiles and whatnot!

And that's all for now.

Summer Reading [Jun. 5th, 2010|10:30 pm]
Today there was yet another lovely used book sale at the library, so I took advantage of the cheap, cheap books and picked up a few. And yes, I realized they'd be cheaper if I actually just borrowed them from the library, but I like to own books. Makes me feel like I AM the library, and thus I have ALL THE POWER!

Anywho, I picked up:
- Children of Dune (3rd in the DUNE saga; I saw the 4th there too, I thought I owned it, turns out I don't; I'll likely pick it up next week)
- David Copperfield (the Dickensian boy, not the master of illusion)
- Making History (which I heard of briefly in the past but mostly picked up because it's by Stephen Fry)
- JLA: Exterminators (mostly because of the artwork by Alex Ross on the cover)
- Children of Men (which I already read just a few months ago, but I enjoyed it, so why not own it)

Currently I'm reading book three of the Dark Tower series by Stephen King (thus taking my read King books to a total of 4!) and I'm hoping to finish off the series by the end of summer. However, should I need a break from the Gunslinger, it's nice to know I have a stack of pretty diverse books to select from.

Go books!

Upcoming Summer [May. 26th, 2010|12:32 pm]
Usually around this time each year I make a post about all the big summer movies that I'll be making a point of seeing and then explaining why. This year will, sadly, be different. The reason for this is that there's really not too many movies coming out this summer that I really wanna see. Sure, there's a few, but even those, should I miss them, I won't be terribly heartbroken. Summer '10 just isn't shaping up to be the best for the blockbusters. Oh well.

What a stupid reason to make a post, huh?

The Circle of Life [May. 12th, 2010|06:05 pm]
My first experience in a school (that I can vividly remember anyways) was a year before I actually started grade primary. I would go with my mom when she went to help with hotdog days at Robin Foote. I'd sit on the couch and pretty much just wait around, eating free hotdogs.

Today I was subbing at Robin Foote. It was hotdog day. I sat at the couch. I ate a free hotdog.

Life. Wow.

Pie Show Decision [May. 8th, 2010|12:21 pm]
The Pie Show! is now located on the Facebook, as well as on the Twitter (and, as a result, located in the Twitter widget over on the left of thePS main page), and Tumblr (which is what the Twitter is newly linked to). As a result, I won't be posting them on the blog every day anymore. However, when I DO post things on the blog of thePS (for example, now) I will put the link up just as a reminder that it does indeed exist. Makes sense to me.

Still in the Star Wars mini-series, and we're actually approaching our 100th of this larger series (but somewhere around 160 or so ever). Wee.

The Pie Show! - Plans.

(no subject) [May. 7th, 2010|07:47 am]

Yesterday I left the house pretty much half-asleep (I'd say about 1/3 asleep or so), so I forgot to put up the new Star Wars Pie Show! As a result, today you get two! Aren't you just the luckiest ever? Yes. Yes you are.

Mos Eisley [May. 4th, 2010|02:48 pm]

Yup - it's Star Wars month (specfically it's Star Wars DAY - May the Fourth be with you) and as a result, for two weeks of it all the Pie Show comics will be lines from the holy trilogy. Enjoy the crap out of it!

Krypto [May. 3rd, 2010|10:03 am]

I'm thinking of not posting the Pie Show on the main blog anymore, but instead making another Twitter feed over on the side, under my normal one. That way, it can just update automatically (as that Tumblr site does), and I'll stop flooding people's friends pages on LJ. I can also make it so they go up on FaceBook for those who don't follow the Twitter account/regularly visit the main PS page, but are still interested in seeing the comic. This is getting complicated... What say you people of the world?

ALSO - tomorrow is the big day of the new mini-series (which is also connected to another day/regular event which happens to be tomorrow - can you figure it out?!)
